For the production of Pilsen malt we exclusively use two-row spring barley, grown in the close surroundings of our malt house. Long-term contracts with the Slovak farmers allow us to select the parts of malting barley of the highest quality such as Kompakt, Epress, Anabel and Malz varieties.
Each supply of barley must be tested for the content of nitrogen, water and starch, as well as germination, the size of corn and the presence of moulds and live or dead vermin must be strictly checked. Our capacities on the receipt and storing areas allow us to separate individual varieties of purchased barley and to ensure homogeneous conditions during the production process itself.
Malt of the Pilsen type - produced exclusively form two-row spring malting barley, grown on the fertile fields of Trnava plateau.
